lyrics
It takes courage to love me
It takes courage to care
It takes courage to confront
Your weaknesses you share
The victim of the flames
I'm speakin' as a potential victim
The burning of the witch
The nigger, the jew,
and the faggot too
The blood-stained self
The violence on our TV
Is far more dangerous than
pornography
How much longer could she take
The beatings and the rape
As much truth as one can bear
The evils in the world
Then a little more
Which has panic at the root
We all live in a world
Where dreams betray and are betrayed
Where love dies, and innocence must die
The awful question of wether or not
all our dreams have failed
How we managed to become
what we have
This inexpressible pain
So desperate so empty
What are we to do about it?
This present chaos
The terror and the bombings
Holding our breath underwater
And this song's an act of love

Thank Goddess for this wondrous album, which I should have picked up aeons ago. The otherworldly atmosphere this trio weaves is utterly intoxicating and wholly (holy) their own.
Sincerest thanks for putting this and Feminazgul’s other albums in the feed today @Sælzer Bub; your timing was impeccable! MJ

Both tracks here are better than everything on the Black Age Blues album, in my humble opinion. Deathwish is a change of style for Goatsnake, being in a much faster tempo, almost punky, still heavy as f*ck though, and incredibly catchy... love it! Master of Alchemy
